Planning Application
MORE >>
A planning application for Watford Lodge wind farm was submitted to Daventry District Council, the Local Planning Authority, in August 2009. The application has been formally registered as application number DA/2009/0620. During the next few months, the council will hold their own public consultation with statutory consultees and stakeholders such as Parish Councils, the Environment Agency and Natural England amongst others. Members of the public are also invited to make their views known to the council by visiting their website or by clicking here.
This consultation process will run alongside the Local Planning Authority's own assessment of the application and the determination process would be expected to last approximately four months.
Subject to approval, we hope to receive a decision on the application so that construction would commence by 2011.

Further information on local planning policy
On 12th October 2006, representatives from Daventry District Council signed the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change. The Nottingham Declaration is a commitment to reduce carbon emissions by adopting greater energy efficiency measures and increasing travel by encouraging walking, cycling, car-sharing and public transport use. It is also about adopting renewable energy technologies in the district and building adaptation requirements into existing and new developments.
By June 2007, the East Midlands became the first English region to have all 46 of its local authorities publicly committed to tackling climate change by becoming signatories to the Nottingham Declaration.
